John Ben,

When Jonathan is in my custody spending time with his friends don’t try to meet up with him.

Part of growing up is to meet new people, make friends and become an independent thinker.

It is an experience he can only get by going out there on his own. I am confident he exhibits good judgment about the surf and won’t put himself in a situation that he cannot handle.

At this point you are not teaching him anything about surfing. The kids he is surfing with are far better than you will ever be.

I have discussed this matter with him and he agrees with me.
